For your convenience, we have put together the answers to some of the more common questions asked by our customers.

What do I need ?

You require at least 3 years mobility allowance for help with getting around at the higher rate.

What happens if I have less than 3 years allowance left ?

You can ask the DSS to review your allowance, or if you have over 2 years allowance left you can pay for the difference.

Do you take all my book ?

This depends upon the car that you choose and the type of allowances that you receive. Some cars (usually more basic) allow you to keep some of your allowance. You may also keep any other allowance that is paid to you other than the "help with getting around" part - for example you may keep any care allowance that you receive.

When do I have to hand my book in ?

You can keep drawing on your book until 1 week before you take delivery of your new car (or 1 month if you are paid monthly).

What forms do I have to fill in ?

We have all the relevant paperwork that you require. Simply bring you driving licences and award notice in and we will do the rest.

How many people can I have on the insurance ?

Two

Can I fit a towbar ?

Yes, you can fit any genuine Peugeot accessory. Please note however that you may not take these off at the end of the contract if it would cause damage to the car. You will also not be re-embursed for any extras at the end of the contract.

How long does it take ?

This is a difficult question, it really does depend upon the availability of the car that you choose and how busy Motability are. Most cars would take about two weeks, but certain models may take up to two months, so it is wise to order your car in good time.
